Hailing from the Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Nata of South Africa this stunning large Anemone needs cold winters, some space & sun & does not like it dry or waterlogged. I measured mine in the garden & the largest leaves were 65cm at the widest point. The flowers are also large & beautiful. I ended up growing mine in a large wooden half barrel along with lots of Fritillaria meleagris which take its place when it dies down to the ground for winter & appears again when the Frit's have finished flowering. These will come as dormant rhizomatous/tuberous rootstocks & will take a year to settle in & start to establish.
