Native from Canada south to Louisiana. Asclepias purpurascens is a North American native plant that grows in areas from Southern Canada to Louisiana. The Bees & butterflies love it. It reaches around 80cm high & wide, has deep purple-pink flowers & likes a moist but well drained soil in a sunny to lightly shaded position.
