A tall, elegant species that produces delicate clusters of hanging lilac flowers with yellow stamens on upright stems above the blue-green fern-like foliage. The sepals of these plants a longer & pointed than the straight T. delavayi. Height 1.2 m. Likes a moist, humus rich, well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. The original seed of this collection was harvested from a plant in China.
