A rare woodland plant native to the northeastern quadrant of the continental U.S. & into Canada. It reaches around 1m tall with a robust appearance & produces small purplish-red flowers in the leaf axis that are followed by large orange berries that look like small rosehips, which turn red with age. Likes a rich moist-ish soil in a semi-shaded area.
